Chris and I had just about given up hope on ever finding a house, and we had lost all respect for realtors.  We were reeling from the shock that the house we were planning to buy had appraised for dramatically less than what we offered.  We did not trust realtors, but then we met Anne and our outlook began to change. 

From the moment we spoke to Anne, we felt her positive enthusiasm.  We truly believed her when she said that we would find a home within our budget.  Other realtors were quick to point out that we would never find a house within our budget that we would like.  After just a week of working with Anne, we found our dream home and she worked hard to make our offer stand out.  The day we found out we got the house, I was in complete and utter shock.  Owning my own home has always been a dream of mine, one that I might never realize.  Anne make dreams a reality!

I truly believe we got the house because of Anne's good karma.  She is a kind and generous person.   Anne cares about  her clients and their interests; her empathy and encouragement makes her a wonderful realtor.  Through this entire process, she was there for us, rooting for us to get our home.  Furthermore, Anne was never pushy or trying to sell us a house we didn’t want.  It was as if she was a guide on the biggest adventure of our lives, and, because of her experience and professionalism, we enjoyed the ride and have had the thrill of a lifetime.  Anne is a top-notch realtor, more importantly a wonderful person.  Chris and I were very lucky to have her represent our interests.  We consider Anne not just our realtor, but also our friend.

My experience with Anne was fantastic. As a first time buyer there was a lot for me to learn and she was very helpful and patient with me. She helped me find a great place in the exact neighborhood I wanted and toward the bottom of the price range that I wanted to pay. When I'm ready to trade up in a few years, she'll be my first call.

 Chris and I started to prepare to buy a house for a year before we actually started seriously looking.  We read the books, got our finances in order and talked to a few mortgage brokers.  When summer came around, we decided to take that first step ? call a real estate agent.  Chris and I were very nervous taking this step because this was our first home purchase and we were very insecure about our readiness to be homeowners. On my first day of summer vacation I dialed an agent recommended by a friend. I knew our price range and when I mentioned it to him, he basically told me good luck, and that I'd better start considering small condos. I was crushed. Our insecurities seemed to be valid and it felt like there wouldn't be any agent willing to help us out.

We met Anne after I regained my courage and emailed her real estate firm Gallagher and Lindsey.  She was in contact with me within 12 hours of my email request.  I was prepared to be brushed off, but instead I found myself talking to someone as eager, serious and dedicated as Chris and I were. She had absolutely no doubt that there was a house out there for Chris and I.

As Chris and I are settling into our beautiful new home, I can't help but chuckle at some of the things I put Anne through. Having every single day off during the summer to dedicate to our home search, I was literally calling and emailing Anne several times a day about possible homes. She was ALWAYS there for me. She would even meet Chris and I late in the evening to sign paperwork, and would call us throughout the tough waiting periods to keep us updated and calm our nerves. I could ask her anything and we trusted her completely. Without Anne DeBardeleben, Chris and I would not have found our perfect home.
